Currently, we are proud to accommodate 292 students. This section serves as the foundation of our school, offering classes from Nursery to Class 1.

Each class is uniquely named after beloved characters and themes that resonate with the children. These include Doraemon, Ben-tan, Busy Bee, Mighty Raju, Sparkling Stars, Little Dragon, and Jumping Dolphins. These fun names help foster a sense of excitement and belonging among the children.

The Junior Section at Druk Padma Karpo School consists of 220 students across classes 2, 3, and 4, each with two sections: A and B. The class sizes vary, with 36 to 38 students per section. The section is supported by seven subjects, with six subject teachers and an IT teacher, alongside departmental classes in Physical Education, Art, and Music. Every Saturday, the Junior Section dedicates the first two periods to dance class.

The Junior Section is managed by a Section Head, who serves a two-year term, rotating based on seniority. Each class has a Class Teacher who stays with the same group of students for three years, fostering a strong teacher-student bond and understanding. Students enjoy two IT periods, one dance class, and one Art and Music class weekly. Additionally, Saturdays are designated as No-Book Day, where students engage in various activities, including ‘Multi-Speciality Day’ (MSD) with poem recitations and creative competitions.

Each class presents a performance during the assembly once a year, competing within their section. At the end of the year, the best-performing class receives a prize. This structure not only promotes academic excellence but also encourages creativity, discipline, and teamwork, providing a well-rounded education that prepares students for future learning.

In the middle section, students gradually grow physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally. Teenagers are full of energy, and our teachers first take the time to understand each student. After studying them, we design our lesson plans accordingly. Our care for students is eternal as teachers, and we encourage them to develop qualities like charity, kindness, and compassion.

Through studies, extracurricular activities, and learning beyond the classroom, we strive to channel their energy in a productive way for their overall development. New students are welcomed with care to help them adjust to the new environment. As a team, we work hard to support them during this crucial growing phase and prepare them well for the senior section.
