Infant Section

In our infant section, we have Nursery to Class 1, with two sections for each class, each having its own teacher. We’ve got ten teachers and five non-teaching staff for our 281 students.To boost language skills, we have separate Hindi and English language teachers. We also organize an annual Infant Carnival Day, where every child performs to build confidence and awareness.For physical activities, we have a Joy Park. To channelize their energy, we have Saturday activities. We’ve introduced SEE (Social, Emotional, and Ethical Learning) for LKG students.Dholakpur is a special place where kids watch related videos and engage in activities, sparking creativity. We’re committed to positive change in both ourselves and our students. Working with these young ones may be challenging, but their successes fill us with pride and joy.

Junior Section

The Junior Section at Druk Padma Karpo School consists of 220 students across classes 2, 3, and 4, each with two sections: A and B. The class sizes vary, with 36 to 38 students per section. The section is supported by seven subjects, with six subject teachers and an IT teacher, alongside departmental classes in Physical Education, Art, and Music. Every Saturday, the Junior Section dedicates the first two periods to dance class.

 

The Junior Section is managed by a Section Head, who serves a two-year term, rotating based on seniority. Each class has a Class Teacher who stays with the same group of students for three years, fostering a strong teacher-student bond and understanding. Students enjoy two IT periods, one dance class, and one Art and Music class weekly. Additionally, Saturdays are designated as No-Book Day, where students engage in various activities, including ‘Multi-Speciality Day’ (MSD) with poem recitations and creative competitions.

 

Each class presents a performance during the assembly once a year, competing within their section. At the end of the year, the best-performing class receives a prize. This structure not only promotes academic excellence but also encourages creativity, discipline, and teamwork, providing a well-rounded education that prepares students for future learning.

Middle Section

In our middle section (classes 5th to 7th), we have 7 subject teachers and 4 department teachers (library, art, music, and dance). We see ourselves as facilitators rather than traditional teachers. Our teaching methods include cognitive learning, utilizing approaches like THINK PAIR SHARE, class presentations, group discussions, practical learning, field trips, and play-based techniques. We aim for interactive and engaging sessions, encouraging experimentation and experiences. During breaks, we offer project-based learning, fostering cognitive skills and creativity. Project themes include waste management and making organic candies. Senior Section

The Senior Section at Druk Padma Karpo School places a strong emphasis on the overall development of students, not only in academics but also through physical activities, co-curricular engagements, and character-building initiatives. With 150 students from classes 7th to 10th, this section nurtures a balanced approach to education that prepares students for both personal and academic success. Along with regular classroom learning, students are encouraged to participate in various sports, arts, and leadership activities, promoting teamwork, discipline, and creativity.

The senior section is dedicated to fostering critical thinking and self-awareness, helping students develop the skills necessary for their future endeavors. Teachers and staff work together to create a supportive and motivating environment, where each student is valued and given the opportunity to excel in their areas of interest. This holistic approach ensures that students not only perform well in exams but also grow as responsible, well-rounded individuals ready to take on the challenges ahead.
